My omnipotent assistant photo editor said he liked the second casual shot of the two in the seats; but our sports department usurped him and ran the other one. The top shot is my typical style, but I wanted to try something different with the second shot. What do you think?

what a shame the wrong photo was used. Your "omnipotent assistant photo editor" obviously is the most talented and creative person on the staff. you should praise him, buy him beer and expensive gifts, lobby for a raise for him.....
i like the second one. too bad the designer doing the page never even got to see it.
